This Pirate 4WD Arduino Kit is an Arduino and Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) ready robot kit with a set of ultrasonic sensors (URM37). It allows you to build a completely autonomous mobile robot. This kit has great potential, with over 200 DFRobot gravity sensors and modules available to enhance performance. It is a good teaching robot kit for the K12 robot class and STEM training.
The DFRobot 4WD mobile robot platform is designed for use with the DFRobot ROMEO All-in-One Controller and includes 4x motors, 4x electronics and a complete housing with mounting hardware. The supplied second level allows you to add more electronics and define a modular layout. The rectangular hole allows the mounting of a servo and can be used for various purposes such as a moving camera or a robotic arm. The high-strength aluminum alloy housing material offers flexibility for fast movement, especially on outdoor grass, gravel, sand or sloping surfaces. The structure of the chassis increases the service life of the electronics and gearbox. The 4WD Arduino Mobile platform is also suitable for robotic competitions and research-related projects.
A variety of sensors can be easily added and protected from external damage. The lower stable case protects the motors and the battery pack to prevent falls. If you have ever built from salvaged parts, you can see the difference to a high-strength aluminum alloy that joins parts together and is tailor-made for sensors and electronic assemblies.
