The gravitational water flow sensor measures the velocity of a liquid flowing through it.
The water flow sensor YF-S201 consists of a plastic valve body, a flow rotor and a Hall-effect sensor. It is normally used at the inlet to measure the flow rate.
>When fluid passes through the sensor, a magnetic rotor rotates and the rotational speed changes with the flow rate. The Hall-effect sensor then emits a pulse-width signal. Connect it to a microcontroller and you can monitor multiple devices such as your coffee maker, sprinkler or something else and adjust the water flow to your needs!
The Gravity interface makes it compatible with the Arduino IO Expansion Shield.
