AnyVolt Micro is a miniaturized step-up / step-down switching DC-DC converter. The output is adjustable from 2.6V to 14V and power can be drawn up to 0.5A. AnyVolt Micro is useful when you need to switch from a lower voltage to a higher voltage, or when your input voltage occasionally drops below the output voltage.
The output voltage is adjusted using a small screw potentiometer on the side of the AnyVolt Micro. Once the output voltage is set, it doesn't matter whether the input voltage is higher, lower or equal to the desired output, i.e. there is no dropout voltage.
The AnyVolt Micro is pin-compatible with the common linear voltage regulators of the 78XX series, so it works with breadboards and other common prototyping methods.
AnyVolt Micro is very different from any other DC-DC converter on the market, so please read the entire datasheet carefully before buying or using one.
AnyVolt Micro is the smaller, lighter and cheaper successor to AnyVolt Mini. It also offers thermal, overcurrent and short-circuit protection.
