The product Bend Sensor® consists of a coated substrate, such as plastic, which changes the electrical conductivity during bending. Electronic systems connect to the sensor and use fine details to measure the degree of bending or movement. The single-layer design of the Bend Sensor® eliminates many of the problems associated with traditional sensors such as dust, dirt, fluids, heat and pressure. For added environmental protection, overlaminates or overmoldings can also be applied to the sensors. Flexpoint Sensor Systems offers standard designs, but can also create custom designs and develop a sensor to suit the dimensions and requirements of your application.
