>With Pololu base relay modules it is easy to control a single pole, two stage (SPDT) switch from low voltage and low current control signals. The modules are available with 5 V and 12 V power relays and they are available pre-wired or partial, allowing greater application flexibility.
>The carrier board converts the three relay control pins to 0.1″ spaced pins compatible with commercially available, lube-free breadboards and servo cable jacks. The best version of this board features a 0.1″ straight pin header extended with these pins, while the 8×1 subkit version includes straight and right-angled 0.1″ pin headers that can be optionally broken and inserted into 3×1 pieces. The relay switching pins are mounted on a set of large pads intended for use with a 5 mm pitch 3-pole terminal strip and a set of smaller pads spaced 0.2&prim; apart, making them compatible with 0.1&prim; perfboards. The best version of this board has a terminal strip that is extended with these pins, while the part kit version includes a 3-pin terminal strip that can be optionally inserted. The carrier board has four mounting holes which work with screws #2 or M2.
