>These cylindrical rust impaired DC geared motors are available in a wide range of ratios from 25:1 to 488:1 and with three different motors: 6 V and 12 V motors with long-life carbon rust (CB) and a 6 V motor with short-life precious metal rust. All three motors offer äsimilar performance at their respective rated voltages, except that the 12 V motor takes about half of the current of the 6 V motor and the carbon rust versions have a longer service life than those with precious metal rust.
The gearmotors all have 20mm diameter gearboxes and 4mm diameter output shafts, so it is generally easy to replace one version with another when your design requirements change (although the length of the gearbox tends to increase with the gear ratio).
Note: Overtightening or overloading gearmotors can greatly shorten their service life and even result in immediate damage.
