>Overview
This kit contains two two-channel Hall Effect sensor boards and two 6-pin magnetic plates that can be used to quadrature the mini plastic gearmotors on a Romi chassis. The encoder board detects the rotation of the magnetic disk and provides a resolution of 12 pulses per revolution of the motor shaft while rotating both edges of both channels, which is approximately 1440 pulses per revolution of Romi's magnetic disk.
This compact encoder solution fits into the 11.5 mm × 22.5 mm cross section of the motor's rear side on three of the four sides. The fourth side of the encoder has the signal and power connections and extends 7 mm beyond the edge of the motor so that it is at exactly the right height to be plugged onto a board on the Romi chassis using the supplied flat pin and socket connectors. The assembly does not extend beyond the end of the extended motor shaft which extends 5 mm beyond the rear of the motor.
