A plastic RFID tag with an outward orientation. This tag is designed to screw into a threaded hole in a common waste collector, but can be mounted in any hole with matching threads or surfaces through the four holes in the tag. Designed for a harsh outdoor environment, it is the most robust RFID tag we carry at Phidgets. The tag contains a unique ID that can be read by the 1024 RFID reader at a distance of 7 cm or less.
This tag uses the EM4012 protocol (part of the EM4100 series). If you are using an RFID reader, make sure it is designed to operate at 125 kHz and supports the protocol of this tag.
