Sabertooth 2X12A regenerative motor controller with ultrasonic frequency 12A-25A max 24V input for combat robots, hobby robots, electric vehicles for 2 DC motors
Control = Standard R/C pulses, serial TTL, packaged, analog
Channels = 2 (dual motor controller)
Voltage = 6.0vdc - 24.0vdc
Continuous current = 12 amps/18vdc, 12 amps/24vdc
Peak current = 25 amps/18vdc, 25 amps/24vdc with cooling
This is the new version of the Sabertooth 2x10 engine control.
The Sabertooth 2X12 is one of the most versatile, efficient and simple dual motor drivers on the market. It is suitable for medium-strong robots - up to 14kg in combat or 45kg for general robotics purposes.
Out of the box, the Sabertooth can supply power for two DC motors of up to 12A each. Peak currents of 25A can be reached for a few seconds.
The built-in overcurrent and overtemperature protection ensures that you never have to worry about accidentally connected too strong motors.
Sabertooth allows you to control two motors with analog voltage and radio control via serial and packetized serial. With a Sabertooth you can build many different robots with increasing complexity over the next few years. Sabertooth can control independent speeds and directions. This makes Sabertooth the ideal driver for differential drive robots (tank style) and more.
The operating mode is set with the integrated DIP switches, so you can't lose any jumpers. Sabertooth has screw terminals - this makes it possible for you to build a robot without soldering.
Sabertooth is the first synchronous & regenerative motor driver in its class. A regenerative topology ensures that your batteries are recharged when you want to slow down or reverse your robot. Sabertooth makes it possible for you to stop and reverse very quickly - making your vehicle fast, agile and agile.
Sabertooth's built-in 1A 5V BEC circuitry can provide power to a microcontroller or R/C receiver and one or two servos. This built-in BEC has almost the same performance as our ParkBEC. The lithium cutoff mode allows Sabertooth to operate safely with lithium ion and lithium polymer batteries - these batteries provide the highest energy density.
The Sabertooth transistors are switched at ultrasonic speeds (32 kHz). This ensures quiet operation.
The use of our motor drivers with cheap AC adapters is not recommended. Use a battery or connect at least one battery with a DC connector in parallel.
